How 3-Way Works

A single tap body routes three water sources through internal channels:

• Hot from the standard hot supply line
• Cold from the standard cold supply line
• Filtered from a separate RO permeate line through its own internal channel

The filtered-water channel is physically separated from the hot/cold pathway inside the tap — RO permeate doesn't carry chlorine, so it can't mix back with chlorinated mains water through the standard mixer cartridge. A dedicated lever or button on the tap activates the filtered output.

Why This Solves the Second-Tap-Hole Problem

Standard RO installations require two tap holes in the bench — one for the kitchen mixer, one for the dedicated filter dispensing tap. On stone benchtops, single-hole sinks, or new builds with sealed splashbacks, drilling that second hole is a non-trivial job: stone fabrication, potential warranty implications, and a permanent extra fixture in the visual line.
