This Privacy Policy explains how Enviro Aqua ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you use this site or place an order, we may collect:

  • Order information — products purchased, payment method (handled by Shopify, see below), order history.
  • Device and usage information — browser type, IP address, pages visited, time on site, referring URL. Collected automatically by analytics tools.
  • Communications — messages you send through our contact form or by email.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Process and fulfil orders, including shipping and customer service.
  • Communicate with you about orders, returns, warranty claims, and product enquiries.
  • Improve the site, our products, and our service.
  • Comply with legal obligations (tax records, dispute resolution, fraud prevention).

We do not sell your personal information.

Third parties we share with

To run the business we share information with the following service providers, each of whom processes the information on our behalf and under their own privacy commitments:

  • Shopify — handles payments, checkout, order processing, and customer accounts. Shopify is the system of record for orders. See Shopify's privacy policy for their handling of payment information.
  • Vercel — hosts the website. May log IP addresses and request metadata for performance and abuse prevention.
  • Google Analytics 4 — collects anonymised usage statistics. We use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled.
  • Carriers (Australia Post and others) — receive shipping information so they can deliver your order.

We may also share information when required by law (court order, regulator request, fraud investigation).

Cookies and tracking

The site uses cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential functions (cart contents, login session, checkout flow). Without these the site cannot work.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics) to understand how the site is used.

Most browsers let you decline non-essential cookies. The site will continue to work with analytics cookies disabled.

Storage and security

Personal information is stored on secure servers operated by Shopify (orders, customer data) and Vercel (site infrastructure). Both providers operate from secure facilities with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

Under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or out-of-date information.
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to legal record-keeping obligations.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have mishandled your information.
