A 40W high-flow UV water steriliser designed for whole-house and small-commercial pathogen kill — same flow class as the 55W version but with a 4-pin one-side bulb configuration and 1/2" male thread inlet/outlet. The right tier for properties on rain, bore, or any untreated supply needing reliable disinfection at full whole-house flow.
What This Unit Treats
UV water sterilisation is one of the most effective methods of disinfecting water, with no chemicals and no harmful residues left in the supply. This 40W unit is rated for water at up to 45 L/min (2,700 LPH), with manufacturer specification claiming:
- Up to 99.9999% reduction of bacteria, viruses, algae, fungi, and other micro-organisms
- Effective treatment for Cryptosporidium and Giardia in town water supplies
- Premium-grade construction for rain water, bore water, or any untreated source

Important: Connection Size and Bulb Configuration
This 40W unit and the 55W unit look near-identical at first glance but differ on two practical specs:
- This 40W: 1/2" male thread inlet/outlet, 4 pins one side bulb
- 55W version: 3/4" male thread inlet/outlet, 2 pins each side Philips bulb
If you're matching to existing 1/2" plumbing, this 40W is the right unit. If your plumbing is 3/4", step up to the 55W. The bulb difference matters at replacement time — the 4-pin one-side bulbs are not interchangeable with the 2-pin each side units.

Maintenance
Replace the UV lamp every 12 months. Keep the quartz sleeve clean. Pre-filter the feed water to 5 micron or better — sediment in suspension shadows pathogens from the UV-C light, reducing kill efficiency below the manufacturer's rating regardless of lamp condition.
