An industrial-grade 25W UV water steriliser sized for mid-flow point-of-entry installations — sitting between the residential 6–11W class and the high-volume 40–55W chambers. The 25W lamp pairs with a 304 stainless steel chamber and Philips C-UV lamp to deliver the UV dose needed for whole-house or small-commercial flows.
What 1500 LPH Means in Practice
The rated 1500 LPH (≈25 L/min) figure is the manufacturer's specification for water with good pre-treatment — clear, low-turbidity feed where UV penetrates the full chamber path length. On heavier sediment loads, the effective flow rate for guaranteed pathogen kill drops, because turbidity blocks UV transmission.
For reliable performance at the rated flow:
- Pre-filter to 5 micron or better before the UV chamber — sediment in suspension shadows pathogens from the UV-C light
- Keep the quartz sleeve clean — mineral or organic film on the sleeve drops UV transmission, even if the lamp itself is healthy
- Replace the lamp every 12 months — UV-C output drops below germicidal levels well before the lamp visibly fails
